Ready for YSL Arty Stone Spring 2013 Collection Part Deux?
Blush! MY FAVOURITE haha! There are a couple of new Yves Saint Laurent Crème de Blushes in the collection, and I have No. 8 to show you:
Yves Saint Laurent Crème de Blush No. 8 ($52 CAN) is not a blush I would have chosen in the past, but now I'm a much smarter and less addicted to pinky coral blush fiend. This is a shade that gives cheeks that fresh, outdoorsy flush and I love it! If you've never tried Yves Saint Laurent Crème de Blushes then you need to. They are a cream to powder formula and are so easy to work with. You can use your fingers or a brush and they are very pigmented, so just a dab is all you need. And they last all day!
Lips! I have two lip products to show you, with the first being YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain in #27 Peche Cerra-Colla($34 CAN):
It's sheer and I like that. You can build up to whatever peach intensity you desire! These YSL Glossy stains are kind of amazing, as they stain your lips so you get long lasting, comfortable lip colour. Now this is a light shade, so the stain effect is rather subdued, but it's still there!

It's REALLY sheer, and it takes a couple of passes to build up the colour. This light pink does show up on my pigmented lips though! It just takes a bit of work. This feels so smooth and silky on the lips-it's LUXURIOUS. There's really no other word to describe it.
I'll tell you this-I was surprised at how the swatch stained my arm! This YSL Glossy Balm has some staying power folks! But in the end, it is a really expensive lip balm. If you have some spare money and want to buy yourself the ultimate lip balm, then the YSL Volupté Sheer Candy Glossy Balms are the way to go. It'll be the prettiest lip balm in your purse and I guarantee you'll love the way your lips will feel when you use it.

I'm wearing the YSL Limited Edition Y Facettes Collector Pure Chromatics Eye Palette No.14 on my eyes, the Yves Saint Laurent Crème de Blush No.8 on my cheeks, and the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain #27 on my lips. All three go together so well and are perfect for spring.
It's been very interesting and eye-opening playing with this pastel collection these past few days. I always thought Fall and Winter Collections were the best for me, but you know what? I think I was wrong. AGAIN. I've been wrong a lot lately haha. Although, maybe it's not so much that I'm wrong, it's that I'm evolving in my makeup journey. CHANGING my makeup views. As I'm getting older, lighter shades are actually more appealing than dark heavy makeup, and I think I look better in them too. Gentle washes of colours are going to be my best friends as I embrace my grey hair, so I might as well start now! And speaking of my grey hair, I've been doing a pretty good job of hiding it, hey?
