I must confess that when I was chosen to test the Nutra-Lift Ultra Firm Moisturizing Body Lotion ($23), I had high expectations since I was introduced to Nutra-Lift by Marta (I love the brand’s face serums, face cleanser and shampoo – all from Marta’s recommendations). So, as biased as it may sound, I was certain that it would be a great lotion.
Colorado Springs, Colorado, is super dry and is perfect for testing moisturizers – if they do well here, it means they’re excellent! I loved the creamy (bu not oily) texture of this lotion, the fact that 8 ounces goes a long way, and how it moisturizes and softens the skin. I also loved that it is unscented and without color; I could take my shower, moisturize my body and use my favorite perfume without having a “battle” of scents on my body.
I use moisturizers regularly (living in Colorado, how couldn’t I?), but the majority of them tend to have scents and fail at keeping my skin moisturized throughout the day. As a moisturizer that keeps your skin fresh and supple all day, I totally recommend the Nutra-Lift Ultra Firm. But as for its claim to firm sagging skin, I am still skeptical. I honestly don’t believe that there is any product on the market that could carry this affirmation well. It may have a slight effect of firmness if you continuously use it, but to actually tighten and firm sagging skin, I’m not so convinced.
By now, I’ve used almost the entire 8oz bottle. Maybe if I continue to use the product consistently I will notice some tightness, but I can’t say for sure. Again, the Ultra Firm is a very good moisturizer, which kept my skin soft all day in the dry air of the Colorado mountains. As for a product that firms and tightens skin, I am still searching....
