The Multiple color stick is one of the products that helped make NARS a huge favorite of those of us who really like to play with color. Multitasking as a blush, bronzer, contour or highlighter and suitable for every part of the face (or body), The Multiple has a long-wearing formula that can be a swipe-blend-go thing or serve as the base for a more elaborate look.
413 BLKR joins NARS The Multiple range with a burgundy velvet shade. It looks quite intense in the tube but like all Mutiples can be blended and sheered to a whisper. 413 BLKR is great on its own, of course (and lasts all day long on a prepped skin), and works beautifully when paired with a red powder blush if you feel the need (I don't). On my face (as opposed to the arm swatch) there's a lot more pink in the base (my arms are greener than my cheeks, which makes sense).
You can see the comparison of 413 BLKR to a classic NARS Mutiple in Malibu: the latter is a pink brown that works as a bronzer. Next to each other 413 BLKR has no brown. Both of them are completely free of shimmer and they actually go well together (I also mixed a little of both and liked the result, though it's a bit too summery for this time of the year).
Bottom Line: a new staple.
NARS 413 BLKR The Multiple is exclusive to NARS flagship boutiques in NYC and Los Angeles (413 Bleecker and 8412 Melrose) but also available online from narscosmetics.com. Both products featured in this post were sent for my consideration by the company's PR.
