Models Hye (in a black striped lace blouse and sparkle tweed gathered skirt paired with a patent leather Mary Jane) and Chen (in a black leather and shaved mink quilted coat over a caviar beaded skirt and black suede ankle boots) - two of my favorite looks from Carmen Marc Valvo's Fall/Winter 2013 show. James Boehmer, NARS Director of Global Artistry, called Carmen Marc Valvo's Fall 2013 collection "baroque with a punk edge" and wanted the makeup to evoke that feeling. "The eyeliner is a reference to a classic eyeline, but with a punk spirit, so it’s not perfect, not delicate. The skin is very luminous;we talked about the girls looking slightly haunted, but in a pretty way." James and his team, including Jenny Smith, started with several essentials from NARSskin to prep the models for makeup, finishing off with the Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturizer . Following a base of Sheer Glow Foundation NARS legendary Multiple was used in Copacabana , Luxor and Maldives . On the eyes, eyeshadow single Himalayas was paired with the eyeshadow duo, Alhambra and set with 'Larger Than Life' Long Wear Eyeliner and Volumizing Mascara Black in Black. NARS Triple X lip gloss was applied to the eyelids to finish the look. On the lips: Lipliner pencil in Salsa and Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil in Belle De Jour was topped with Pure Matte Lipstick in Madere .
