Seeing her hair from the front at last night's Captain America: The Winter Soldier premiere in Beijing, you might think Scarlett Johansson was wearing a regular old French braid, but then she turned her head...
And, see, it's actually Dutch-style, meaning that instead of the braid lying so it falls into her hair, it sits on top of it. In other words, it's created the same way a French braid, but instead of adding pieces from the top, you add them into the bottom of the braid. Sounds confusing, but it's really not—you just have to see see it in action (and luckily there are a million how-to videos on Youtube).
It's a cool twist on an old favorite, no?
