MAC Cosmetics has recently released a duo of 15 pan eyeshadow palettes - one with warm neutrals and another with cooler toned neutrals. What I have here is the MAC Eye Shadow x15 Warm Neutral Palette which is definitely a feast for the eyes, and even better swatched!
Many have been comparing this palette to the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palettes saying that MAC has finally jumped onto the neutral palette bandwagon etc etc but I think it might not have to do with the whole Naked craze but perhaps this was just another of MAC's bright ideas? I could just be naive in saying so. Who knows really.
The price is definitely something to think about when you come across this palette -- its priced at £65. But for a MAC palette, it is definitely well-priced. If you think about it, each MAC palette costs £14, the insert costs £6.50 and each MAC eyeshadow pan is £10. The entire set would cost £170.50 if you bought them individually. If you can afford it, £65 for a 15 pan MAC eyeshadow palette is a steal!
But of course there are much more affordable neutral eyeshadow palettes out there. I for one am a big fan of the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palettes and this could perhaps be compared to the first palette in terms of colour, which has mostly warm toned neutrals, golds and bronzes.
Moving back to the MAC Eye Shadow x15 Warm Neutral Palette, this has a nice mix of warm toned shades. There is also a beautiful blend of finishes, from satins to frosts to veluxe pearls. ALL the colours are well pigmented, swatch very well.
Have a look below for swatches of the individual eyeshadows.
