"All it is is the eye" said lead MAC artist Chantel Miller. Inspired by '60s noir for the Libertine Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, Miller wanted to focus on bringing texture to the eye area. Miller's idea was to modernizing the lid using super slick liner which, when dry, looks like vinyl. An unconnected line on the bottom finished out the look. Face: Careblend oil pressed into the skin with the hands. Prep & Prime Face Protect SFF 50 pressed into the skin. Eyes: Blacktrack Fluid Line painted onto the lid with #228 brush perfected with #209 brush all over the lid to create a blocked out lid. Numer 209 brush was used for round liner under eye. Superslick Eyeliner in " On the hunt" was used over the top of Blacktrack for a shiny finish. Lashes: To create the lashes # 3 was cut to the center of the lid with black duo. Lashes #2 with the long end cut off was glued to lash line with the inner ocrner glued to push them out further. Mascara: Haughty and Naughty Nails: butter LONDON The butter London team was on hand to create a dynamic nail design for the Libertine collection. Global Colour Ambassador Katie Hughes led her team in creating a look directly inspired by the collection (actual embellishments used were from the collection). "Nails are a true extension of the outfit and an accessory," said Hughes. A gold polish called Marbs was custom made for the collection and will be available in May 2013. The nails designs were created in advance and pressed onto the natural nail. This would be a creative idea if you want a fabulous nail design just for one night.
