Jessica Chastain, fresh off the Oscar red carpet, is trying a new look on for size: the face of YSL's fragrance Manifesto. In March, the ad campaign and commercial, shot by Nicolas Winding Refn (from the film Drive) will debut.
“I don’t see myself as the face that launched a thousand ships,” she told the New York Times. “There are things I didn’t like about my look when I was growing up; I wanted to be the pretty girl with the curly blond hair and the tan skin.”
Personally, I think her minimalist look in this ad (except for the purple-painted hands!) will be appealing to a wide variety of women. Do you agree? Is she a good fit for YSL?
