Who's up for another round of Beauty School?
Did you know that vigorously rubbing damp hair with a terry cloth towel is often the underlying cause of persistent frizz? It actually roughs up your hair's cuticles, making your strands that much harder to straighten.
I learned that eye-opening tidbit a few years back, and now I gently wring my curls out with my hands before patting them down with Bounty paper towels (they're super absorbent).
However, if you feel as if you need something a little more hefty than your kitchen paper towels, perhaps you should try Hotheads Hand Dry Hair Gloves ($24.95 at CurlMart.com).
While the gloves were created especially for curly hair, they're actually great for all hair types and textures. Plus, they're microfiber, so they soak up a ton of excess water even though they're far smaller than your average bath towel.
To use them, just grab small sections of hair and make a fist, slowly moving downwards from root to tips. By the time you're done, your hair should be about 65-75% dry. From there, keep them on and finish with a blow-dryer. Be sure to scrunch your hair up as you go for added volume!
Adorable, right? Could you use a pair?
