My eyes have seen the glory of renewed youth as I look in the mirror and notice that my under-eye puffiness and dark circles have definitely improved in the last four weeks. My upper lids are also tighter and plumper, which makes me look more awake and vibrant.
Osmotics Eye Surgery Under Eye Rejuvenator ($53 in the shop) really is the next best thing to actual eye surgery (or blepharoplasty). Most of us over 40 have naturally succumbed to the inevitable passage of mid-life aging – which usually hits us right between and around the eyes. Suddenly, our eyes shrink in size and the skin on our lids loosens up and gravity pulls them down to minimize the overall breadth and depth of the eyes. For those of us (myself included) that already have smaller eyes that are prone to hooding, we are faced with a receded reflection of the windows to our souls that makes us look perpetually old before our time.
The ultimate eye-rejuvenating product for me is one that is hypoallergenic, fragrance free and can be used around the entire eye area, including the lids and up to the brow bone. Eye Surgery meets all of these criteria and features not one, but three of the most advanced Tetra-peptide technologies clinically proven to visibly reduce dark circles and under-eye puffiness while firming and smoothing crepey skin on the lower and upper lids.
While I still have deflated and diminished volume in the hollows of my eyes, I realize that only dermal fillers like Juvederm or Restylane will be able to actually re-volumize this recessed area and restore what normal aging has taken away in the last 10-plus years. However, because the skin is firmer, softer and smoother around the eye area, the loss of volume is a lot less noticeable.
This product has really synergistically delivered both day and night in that it doesn’t adversely interact with other skincare and makeup products I’m using. I have had no burning, tearing up, itching, dryness or redness from using Eye Surgery when layering over with eye primer, eye shadow, liner and mascara on and/or around my eyes following its application. No irritation or sensitivities with using it alone or before the makeup layering process.
Eye Surgery is my second introduction to the Osmotics Cosmeceuticals line. I was first introduced to (and liked) the Blue Copper 5 Firming Elasticity Repair ($58 in the shop) serum/gel-like formula that I received in a Discover With Marta package. Francine Edmund Porter, founder of Osmotics, explains that Osmotics works with leading university medical centers, world-renowned scientists and their own scientific advisory panel to incorporate the latest breakthroughs. The treatments are based on clinically validated technologies, which is what makes them so effective. It’s a good health-conscious philosophy the company embraces by not adding potentially harmful ingredients (artificial colors, fragrance and coal tar dyes) solely for the purpose of visual appeal and product merchandising.
Two other Osmotics products on my radar and wish list are the Anti-Radical Age Defense Barrier Longevity Complex ($111 in the shop) and the Renovage Cellular Longevity Serum ($85 in the shop). Pricing for these and other Osmotics products is justifiably reasonable as compared to other prime-tech cosmeceuticals clinically proven and positioned with like parameters of performance and results.
Women and men of all ages should certainly benefit from using this product. With discipline and consistent use, the expectations are good that improvement will be seen and felt day after day. As I touch the skin around my eyes, I honestly feel a reconditioned and lifted satiny smoothness. Oh what a feeling it is... using this “prize” for the eyes!
