Ah, the endless debate: to self tan or not? I already told you about my tanning debacle but the Kardashian sisters are obviously more on board than me. Next month, they will launch Kardashian Sun Kissed, a sunless tanning system that will be sold only at Ulta.
“I think tanning has really been a way of life for all of us, living in California,” Kim told WWD. “Especially, more recently, the need for sunless tan. When I travel, the one thing that makes me feel alive whether or not I have makeup on is a tan, especially in my face. When you travel, you can’t just go lay out. I do like regular tanning because I have psoriasis, and the tanning beds are particularly good for that. Every time I put sunless tan before, it wouldn’t be even — so we wanted a system that was really easy but yet is a full system.”
The three-step sunless tanning line is priced between $12.99 and $19.99. You start with the Color Maximizer or Body Exfoliator, then move onto the Instant Sunless Lotion or Instant Sunless Spray and finish with the Tan Extender with Bronzers.
The sister trio is clearly on a beauty kick. Kardashian Sun Kissed follows the launch of Khroma Beauty, the makeup line that's been embroiled in legal battles. Also, a few years ago, they dabbled in the self tanner biz with a partnership with Sephora.
So, will you give their tanning line a shot? Or, like me, have you sworn off self-tanners for good?
