Lancome Moonlight Rose Illuminating Powder - Review, Pictures, Swatches

I apologize for sleeping on this review. By the time you read this you will undoubtedly hate me because you'll fall in love with it and then realize it is no longer available on the Lancome-USA.com website nor is it easy to find in many department stores.l  But I think at least one of you will thanks me for the review.  Why?  More on that later.

Lancome Moonlight Rose Illuminating Powder is a sweet light warmish pink powder that imparts a luminous glow on the skin.  While this is a frosted pink shimmery powder, the powder is not glittery and does not give you that "Disco Ball" look if applied properly.  You can use this powder wet too. If applied with a damp blush, the look is a strong metallic pale pink.

The Lancome powder is soft, but the shape of the rose remains intact long after the first use. Don't be "afraid" to use this powder. Even though it is pretty in the pan, it will look prettier on your face.   Of course, those with larger pores, beware as this will emphasize the pores on your face.  I honestly don't care, when it comes to this powder. I found a way to sheer it out by applying it with a large fluffy brush then take a clean fluffy brush and blend it out on the cheeks.  The result is a pretty lit from within look.

The reason I purchased this powder, when I have SO MANY highlighters already, is that I was told this was a dupe for my beloved Guerlain Cruel Gardenia Highlighter.  I can say that the Lancome Moonlight Rose Illuminating Powder is a very, very close match.  The only differences I found between the two is that the Guerlain Cruel Gardenia is every so slightly warmer, and the powder is finer than the Lancome.  While the textures may be different, I find that with the proper application the finishes can be almost the same.

Are you cursing me yet? I mean after all, I'm giving you a dupe for a long since discontinued and much beloved highlighter. You must be mad, right?  I mean the Lancome Moonlight Rose Illuminating Powder wore just as well as the Guerlain, it applied easily and would work well for many different skin tones.  In fact, those that are particularly pale, like me, might find that this even imparts a slight pink hue to the cheek as well.

Hate me yet?

Well don't!

You know why? Because I actually purchased TWO of these highlighters. I purchased an extra one for the sole purpose of giving one away. That's right. I can be generous and kind when I want to be. And you thought I just sat around force choking puppies and stomping on flowers.  I do have some humanity left in me.  So the giveaway will go as follows. The only required entry is to
