I'll be the first to admit I have no idea what Reluz means.  Since Ludurana is a brand from Brazil, maybe someone that speaks Portuguese can help me out and explain more about the Ludurana brand and what Reluz means.  What I do know is that the nail polishes from Ludurana  as all so freakin beautiful I MUST OWN THEM ALL!  Not only do they have duochrome polishes, they also have holographic polishes that are STUNNING and on top of that they have DUOCHROME HOLOGRAPHIC POLISHES! I die! That's right, duochrome polishes that are also holographic!

But enough about that. Let me tell you about this specific duochrome polish from Ludurana called Reluz.  It is from the Aurora Boreal collection, and as you may have guessed it is one of the many colors that one can see when looking at the Aurora Borealis. From what I can tell there are about 12 shades in this collection, and there is a mixture of holographic and duochrome shades. Reluz is a blue and purple duochrome that shifts between blue and purple depending on how the light hits it.  It truly is a stunning color that shifts in light and in shade.  I have taken pictures of Reluz applied over Color Club Black nail polish.  This is one coat black and two coats Reluz.  However, you could wear this without an undercoat. The result would be slightly lighter, you would probably need three coats and there might be some visible nail line if you apply it in thin coats.

Reluz is also a dangerous color because when I wear it I find myself distracted by my nails...even when I'm driving. Can you imagine explaining to the police why you rear ended a car at a stop light?

Police:
So tell me what happened ma'am. Were you texting while driving?

Me:
Oh no officer.  You see, I was driving the speed limit when all of a sudden the sun broke through the clouds and lit up my manicure. I was momentarily distracted by how stunning the color shift is in my Ludurana Reluz manicure.  The next thing I knew, everyone was stopped in front of me, and I just didn't have time to break. I'm so sorry.

Police:
Who in the what now?

Me:
My Ludurana Reluz manicure.
(Shows off Ludurana Reluz manicure as the color shifts from blue to purple)
See?  It's so beautiful and extremely distracting when the color shifts.

Person I rear ended:
Oh my! That is a beautiful nail polish color. I can totally understand why you ran into me.  Good thing I wasn't injured and there was literally no damage to my car.

Me:
Thanks. I'm glad you're OK. I honestly do love the shade.  Oooh look the sun is coming out again.
(Moves fingers back and forth whilst Person I rear ended watches in awe)
See how the color shifts from a deep blue to a fiery purple?

Person I rear ended:
Wow!  Stunning! I must have this.
(Starts to drool)

Police:
OK you two. That's enough.
(Rolls eyes and takes out ticket book)
There IS damage to your car. The bumper is about to fall off.

Person I rear ended:
Oh that?  Please, that's nothing.
(Grabs my hand and shoves it in the officer's face)
Did you see her manicure?!

Police:
Listen lady.
(Shoves my hand out of the way and clicks open pen)
I'm going to write her a ticket whether you like it or not.

Me:
I understand. I was reckless, but really, you can't blame me. I mean look!
(Twiddles fingers in front of police)

Person I rear ended:
I refuse to press charges!
(Stomps foot and stands between me and police)
There is nothing to report.

Police:
You know what? You both are crazy. Fine! Have it your way.
(Stomps off back to the patrol car)

Me:
Thanks! You're swell. Anything I can do to make it up to you?

Person I rear ended:
Aww. It's nothing, really.  Just tell me where you got this amazing nail polish!

Me:
I purchased it from Ninja Polish. They have about 12 of the polishes, but not all are in stock.  Reluz being one of them, but there are some other purple/blue/copper and green/yellow/olive and holographic polishes from the brand available. Oh and they also have an e-mail waiting list for when they restock colors so you will get notified when your color comes back in stock.

Person I rear ended:
Awesome! I'm going to place an order today!
(Pulls out phone and opens web browser, types in http://www.ninjapolish.com and starts walking back to car.)

Me:
Sweet! I hope you find one that you really love!
(Puts on gloves to hide awesome Ludurana Reluz manicure and drives off)

Do You NEED this? YES! This nail polish and others in this collection are AWESOME!  The formula is perfect. Not too runny, not too thick. The brush is long and flexible and not too thin or wide. The wear on this was pretty decent, but because I used a different band underneath I can't claim that I know for certain it doesn't chip. I did notice some minor tip wear after the third day. Ludurana Reluz retails for $10, which is on the more expensive side, but seriously, for this kind of color shift, I would pay even more!

What do you think?  Would this manicure distract you from driving?
