The transition into Spring is always and exciting one! New clothes, new makeup, and fresh air! Pull yourself our of that winter slump and prep your skin for our favorite season of the year.
Exfoliate: Exfoliating skin is one of the most satisfying cleansing methods. When skin is looking dull the best solution is an exfoliator with little beads to help slough off dead skin cells. Buff your exfoliator (try our Mineral Face Cleaner or one of our Homemade Face Masks) onto the face and scrub in gentle circular motions. Splash your face with warm water to help keep pores open to remove any dirt. Pat dry with a towel and moisturize to reduce dryness and flakes.
Hydrate: Hydration is key to having healthy skin, or at least healthy looking skin! The Spring runways were filled with dewy-skinned girls and got us all excited for the Spring. If you tend to use a thicker cream in the winter, switch to a thinner formula of moisturizer. The rise in temperature can make skin a bit more oily or sweaty and a thick cream will just melt. Moisturize after cleansing the skin before bed, and when you wake up. Hydrating the skin is also a great way to avoid unwanted breakouts because it keeps the skin in balance so that it doesn’t over produce oil.
Let your Skin Breathe: Ditch that full coverage foundation for a Tinted Moisturizer! Now's the time to let your skin shine and breathe! For an even healthier glow, add a touch of Radiance Enhancer to your Tinted Moisturizer for a dewy highlighting effect. If you have acne-prone skin, no worries, you can still get away with the no-makeup makeup look. First apply your tinted moisturizer and then conceal only what needs to be covered! Set the look with our Mist & Set for long lasting results.
SPF: The sun is back and badder than ever. Keep skin young and spot free by using SPF. Try looking for products (including lip balms) with SPF for extra protection from the suns harmful rays. If you're REALLY in need of a tan and are considering ditching the SPF, DON’T! That's why we have bronzer :)
