If you want to streamline your morning makeup routine, the key is organization. I like to arrange my stash according to item type (eye shadows and liners in one drawer, for instance, blushes and bronzers in another). The drawers I use are from a large desk that I actually employ as a vanity table.
I also like to keep a tightly edited "favorites of the moment" makeup bag on top of my table. I switch these "greatest hits" out often depending on what I'm testing, but it's a great way to keep new things in rotation while still having at-the-ready access to my main makeup archive.
Are you looking to get a little more organized when it comes to your cosmetics? Here are four more tips for streamlining your beauty routine for a stress-free morning.
1. Edit Your Stash
During the morning rush, the last thing you want to deal with is rifling through a bunch of beauty duplicates. You know, those three almost identical pink-hued lipsticks, or those four Kohl eyeliners that all look the same. Keep your everyday makeup bag small and limit the products you put inside to just the basics: Brushes, foundation, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, blush and lipstick (or tinted lip balm). And just one of each will do just fine — trust me.

2. Dish it Out
Instead of keeping your daily makeup essentials in a standard cosmetics bag, it may help to be able to view all of your items at once. I have a friend who keeps her makeup in a clear cake dish. It's absolutely perfect — she can see all of her beauty goods without having to blindly dig around for a specific item. Plus, it looks totally cute. A clear bowl or box would also work well.Read the rest of this post over at P&G Everyday: http://bit.ly/YPuB4W.
