You know you've hit the beauty jackpot when your signature hairstyle is (almost) as famous as you are. Case in point: British fashion blogger Susie Bubble's sky-high topknot. It goes with everything— prints, vibrant colors, and cool textures. Think you can't rock it? It's actually mind-numbingly easy! She shared the story of how it came to be last week, and now she's giving us her personal tricks for achieving the look.
1. Tip your head forward and brush your hair into a ponytail so that the base is right at the crown of your head (in her case, where her bangs start). Secure it with a hair tie. No need for a ton of products: Susie recommends just a bit of Toni & Guy Casual Sculpting Powder at the roots for some grip and texture.
2. Twist the ponytail and wrap it around the base—sort of like a Cinnabon—until all of your hair is twirled into a bun. Use another hair tie to secure and bobby pins at the base if it feels loose.
3. For the finishing touch, spritz L'Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Strong Hold Hair Spray to smooth any stray hairs at the nape of your neck. Skip this step if you prefer a slightly more messy, model-off-duty look.
Are you a fan of the topknot? Will you give it a try this weekend? Discuss!
