Today I have swatches and review of the new Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Colors. I've used these for several weeks and I have mixed feelings on them. I've heard a lot of people don't like these since they are really drying on the lips. I wanted to try them out for myself and see if I could find away to make these work. See if I did in my review below!
929A Rose To The Occasion
927A Iris I Was Rich
931A High-Pitched Wine
921A Red My Mind
These lip colors were so hard to work with and I had a lot of trial and error. I first used these with the doe-foot applicator it comes with, but I kept getting way too much product on my lips. It made it really messy and I couldn't get the color precise. So I ended up using a lip brush and applied the lip colors in small amounts. That ended up working way better and the lip color looked nice on my lips.
Weird thing is, as I was wearing the lip color, my lips didn't feel dry. But they did feel slightly sticky the entire time I was wearing it. Which I don't know how I feel about that. At first it was really annoying, but then I got used to it. I didn't want to put anything on top because I wanted to keep it matte. I checked to see if the color would transfer and no color moved from my lips.So were they moisturizing? No, not at all. If you are looking for something long lasting and moisturizing, these are not it. But I wasn't looking for moisture, I just wanted to see if I could wear these colors and have them last on my lips.
So, even though these didn't work for some people, they ended up working for me. They were long lasting, the color stayed in place, and they are inexpensive. You can only know if they are going to work out for you if you try them yourself.
Hope this review was helpful!
Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Colors retail for $2.99 each and available at CVS and Walgreens.
