As an Australian rapper with four Grammy nominations, two American Music Awards, and three Billboard Music Awards under her belt, Iggy Azalea has made quite the name for herself in the music industry since her debut album in 2014. However, these amazing feats aren't a point of focus when Azalea gets mentioned. Instead, they take a backseat to her feud with Azealia Banks, her position as a white female in the hip-hop scene, and most unfortunately, her past with plastic surgery.
The 25-year-old singer has gotten a nose job and a breast augmentation since her rise to fame, but she's obviously not the only one who has chosen plastic surgery. With the list of available body-perfecting treatments at an all-time high, celebrities and nonfamous people alike frequently take full advantage of their ability to subtly change their appearance, and frankly, there isn't anything wrong with that.
But unfortunately, judgment (and even shame) often accompany these procedures. For example: Kylie Jenner's lip injections, Kaley Cuoco's breast implants and Ariel Winter's choice to get a breast reduction. But instead of avoiding the topic, Azalea spoke candidly about it. In an interview with Elle Canada, she declares she is no longer allowing her plastic surgery to define her, hoping that everyone will learn to just let it go.
"I think in 2016, people should be more accepting of the fact that both famous and non-famous women are having cosmetic procedures," she explains. "And I think more people need to admit that shit so it doesn't have to be so taboo—because we're all doing it anyway."
She definitely has a point to all this. Of course you should love yourself and the body you were born with, but it is your body, so who's to say you can't fine-tune it if you want? "For how long do we have to acknowledge that I got a nose job?" Azalea asks. "For the rest of my life? Am I going to be 45 and people are still saying 'Nice nose job?'"
Can we all agree to give it a rest and take Azalea's advice to start (and end) conversations about plastic surgery with a swift, "good for her!" and a change of subject?

The team at Lancome is looking ahead to Fall, when its special collaboration with French fashion designer Sonia Rykiel is set to launch.
On Wednesday, Lancome announced plans to release a limited-edition makeup line in a wide range of seasonally inspired colors. In a press release, the brand stated that the line has been "inspired by Saint-Germain-des-Prés," the famously artsy district in Paris that heavily influences the Rykiel label. The range will be the latest collaboration from Lancome, who in the past has teamed up with Alber Elbaz, Jason Wu, and many more designers.
Sonia, meanwhile, is no stranger to a good brand alignment either: she released a capsule collection for H&M back in 2009. Look for Sonia's line with Lancome to debut this August.
