Too Faced Revamped and Is Relaunching This Discontinued Bestseller

During a dinner with the Too Faced corporate team, I immediately bonded with them over a love of the company's products. Conversation quickly turned to discontinued items.

"Do you remember Royal Oil?" the marketing director asked. I didn't. Though it's no longer in production, celebrity makeup artists still call Too Faced headquarters in attempts to procure a bottle of the cult-status potion. Royal Oil was a liquid bronzer that acted as a lightweight face and body makeup. Though the formula appeared rich and chocolaty in its packaging, it went on super sheer, making every skin tone look sexier. Apparently, many stars liked applying the formula to their legs before stepping out on a red carpet, giving them an extra glow.

If you're reading this and feeling bummed because you missed out on Royal Oil back in 2012, don't be. I'm psyched to announce that this April, Too Faced is bringing back this cult-favorite product!

As a first-time user, I set the bar pretty high - after all, beauty brands rarely revive a discontinued product. Happily, Royal Oil lives up to the hype. The coconut-oil-rich base leaves skin feeling velvety while mangosteen extract provides defense from free radicals and signs of aging.

While it appears impossibly shimmery in the bottle, a quick application shows that it gives the wearer a sultry, sophisticated sheen. I'm quite fair, but I was impressed with how natural Royal Oil looked on me - it left a light, sun-kissed glow. I tested it on a colleague with a deep skin tone and the formula blended in beautifully, making her complexion gleam. And if you're wary of ruining your clothes with it, never fear: it dries quickly so it won't transfer onto fabric or leave stains behind.

You can grab Royal Oil exclusively on TooFaced.com on April 5 for $35, but once it launches, act fast. Unfortunately, it's only back for a limited time . . . but who knows? If you love it that much, maybe Too Faced will resurrect it yet again.

The Secret to Conquering Dark Circles Is in Your Spice Rack

Fans of curry dishes are already familiar with turmeric. It's a powdered form of ginger that transforms bland sauces into fragrant, yellow-tinged delicacies. But it's time that beauty junkies got acquainted with the spice - and incorporated it into their skin care regimens.

In this quick video from Instagram user farahdhukai, she mixes about an eighth of a teaspoon of turmeric into approximately a tablespoon of buttermilk, then paints the blend onto her dark circles. After letting it dry, she washes it away to reveal a brighter, more luminous complexion . . . with no "raccoon eyes." Her under-eye area looks so flawless, it appears like she applied concealer. Farah suggests applying this cocktail frequently to keep shadows at bay.

It seems possible that the vibrant yellow hue of the antioxidant-rich powder is lightly staining the skin to counteract darkness, but the results are so impressive, any discoloration would be totally worth it to us! Watch the video to see how effective the treatment is.

3D Tanning Is the Contouring Technique You Must Master For Summer

A photo posted by Khloé (@khloekardashian) on

Joyce Bonelli is the Kardashian sisters' go-to makeup artist, so when she reveals a beauty secret, we listen closely (and take notes). In an interview with the Daily Mail, the expert explained that her current favorite method to achieve a chiseled contour on her clients is 3D tanning.

Working with Marissa Carter, the founder of bronzing brand Cocoa Brown, Bonelli developed a technique that utilizes three products to make features look defined, taut, and luminous. First, apply a tanning mousse like Cocoa Brown One Hour Tan ($12) to your face and body for a base glow.

Once the color has developed, use a foundation brush to apply bronzing gel [try Laura Mercier Bronzing Gel ($32)] where the sun would hit your face - your forehead, the tops of your cheeks, and the tip of your nose, which Bonelli says gives "the face a very natural, sun-kissed look." She also advises adding more color to your cleavage and on the sides of your arms and legs, which makes your limbs look thinner. Finish by slicking a glimmering oil like St. Tropez Luxe Dry Oil ($50) on your cheekbones, your collarbone, and down your legs for a supersexy sheen!

Sculpting aficionados may remember last Summer's tontouring technique, which sounds practically identical to 3D tanning. However, the addition of the third highlighting step really makes a difference in the finished result. Just look at Khloé Kardashian's glistening glow above!

Even better, this technique is semipermanent because it features self-tanner, which gives skin a temporary bronzed effect for up to a week. Once you've mastered 3D tanning, you can rock a radiant contour every morning without adding extra products to your makeup routine. Not only is this ideal for lazy girls, but it's a great timesaver to try in anticipation of a vacation.
