Offeibea never really did much with her hair, but she was ready to start.Top stylist Ted Gibson and makeup pro Bobbi Brown brought their brilliance.
Offeibea Obubah, 25, was ready for a change but wanted something that would work “for my super-conservative consulting job.” Hair guru Ted Gibson’s solution? Vibrant color. He cut her hair dry to see its shape (Gibson says it’s a must-do for curly hair), and his colorist, Karen Conlon, dyed it red before they rinsed and braided Obubah’s damp strands. Next Gibson dried her braids with a diffuser, unraveled them for cool texture, and added shine lotion. Bobbi Brown used a touch of concealer to even out Obubah’s great skin, then applied coral blush. A swipe of eyeshadow, black liner, mascara, gloss—and what does Obubah think?
“I love it,” she says. “And now my hair reflects the real me!”
