Every box has five or six wonderful beauty items at a price of $34.95 plus shipping when it arrives toward the beginning of the month. Each assortment is well-packaged with tissue inside and items protected in some small plastic bags or bubble wrap. You also get a card with each products description, how to use it, the value as well as a link to that manufacturer’s website.

The Lunasea Botanicals Cleanser is a multi-function skin care, water-rinsing product to help brighten, exfoliate, regenerate, and smooth with its natural plant extracts, vitamin C, and fruit sugars as it rids the face of makeup and grime. It produces a light, gentle lather with a pretty scent and did a nice job for me without drying my skin.
The Bella & Beau Botanicals Bubble Bath is in Spearmint/Lime scent. This natural plant and essential oil-based product made for a delectable bath with its inviting scent that I added to my tub as I drew the water. You don’t even need to use all that much to get all those bubbles.
The Cricket Cove Soap Co.’s Cuticle Butter moisturized nails with beeswax and pink grapefruit essential oil. This tin now lives on my computer desk so I can keep my dry cuticles up to par. After you dig in, try warming the product in the palm of your hand first instead of applying directly to the nail. This will better distribute the product and make spreading easier.
The Dermadeli Pumpkin Seed Serum comes in a dropper bottle. This nutrient-rich serum smells delicious like pumpkin pie as it leaves your skin satisfied with its healthy lubrication. Two drops were all I needed to care for my face.
Last of all this month, I got a Moody Sisters Natural Skincare Berry Tinted Lip Balm. This has a yummy flavor as well as just enough sheer flattering color to make my lips happy.

Andra Day might just be our ultimate girl crush this spring. If you haven't listened to the singer's debut album, Cheers to the Fall, you're seriously missing out. And her retro-cool style and signature beauty looks are just as major as her voice. Which is saying a lot. The 31-year-old credits her beauty inspo to Old Hollywood stars: Lucille Ball (for those amazing pinup curls!), 1930s jazz sensation Lena Horne, 1950s actress Dorothy Dandridge, even James Dean are among her style icons. Below, she walks us through the calling cards of her immediately identifiable look. If anyone can make a case for locking down a beauty uniform that's uniquely you, it's Day.
On how she approaches her performance makeup...
"I always start with lip colors because that's my signature thing. I love a red lip. But lately I've been doing a lot of deep plums, and I think that'll be huge. I definitely prefer stains when I'm performing versus lipstick because I don't have to worry about it going anywhere—especially when I'm hot and sweating."
On her go-to lip stains right now...
"Giorgio Armani has this new line of lip stains, and they come off really matte, which I like. Having matte lips is a very rockabilly pinup thing, so I'm always looking for a great matte lip stain. My favorite color of the moment is Hollywood—a rich, timeless red. And Sephora has a classic red one that's like lip armor. It doesn't move all night when I'm singing, so it's a real keeper."
On her favorite hair products...
"I've been putting very natural products in my hair. I use this GPB Glycogen Protein Balancing conditioner by Aubrey Organics that I love. I style my hair so frequently that I need a really good conditioner to keep it moisturized. I think it's a big trend right now to do everything naturally. And I definitely take that approach with my hair."
On her everyday hair routine...
"I try to avoid hairspray, gel, and heat as much as I can; like today I just have it pinned up. I will use a pomade or a very heavy conditioner to style it the way that I want it. I play with doing a forehead bun a lot, just a bantu knot right in front of the forehead and keep it in with a clip. And I like doing real pinup styles but based on my natural hair."
On that incredible cat eye...
"I will do my makeup sometimes, but usually it's my girl Emily who's doing it. I'm very particular about my eyeliner, and before her I would never let anyone touch it. It always has to be big but big in a very specific way."
